150 Construction Jobs For Galway

The creation of 150 construction jobs for the building of a new Hewlett Packard facility in Galway will be a major benefit to construction in that region, according to the Construction Industry Federation (CIF).

CIF Director General Tom Parlon said: "This will provide a strong boost to construction companies operating in Galway and the surrounding areas. Work liket his is invaluable and it is what keeps the construction industry going in places like Galway. There will be a lot of interest in securing contracts for the work that is undertaken.


"It will be of particular interest to our main contracting as well as the mechanical and electrical contracting members. However there will be knock on benefits for the entire sector throughout that region.

"Hopefully we will see more announcements like this brought forward in the coming months and we hope that Hewlett Packard will put in place strong standards to ensure that all those who work on this project comply with all the regulatory standards for the industry."
