Tenants will be able to select their units, worktop and tiles from a range of options – and to finish off the look, a new cooker hood and floor covering will be supplied. Electrical and plumbing installations will also be upgraded to cater for modern appliances and smoke and heat detectors installed or upgraded as necessary.

"To ensure tenants get the kitchen they really want they have been consulted on every aspect, from planning the layout and design of their new kitchen to selecting their units and worktop."
The homes included in the scheme are a mixture of houses, flats and bungalows which were built around the late nineties. They have been improved by the Housing Executive on a regular basis over the years but the kitchens had come to the end of their useful life.
