The first phase of this essential Sewer Improvement Programme will get underway on the Old Park Road and side roads of Silverstream and Benview on Monday 1st April and will last approximately 8 weeks. The second phase of work will then get underway on the Ballysillan Road in June and will continue until the end of August 2013. Meanwhile, work on the side roads of Silverstream and Benview will continue throughout the two phases (from April – June 2013)

The Old Park Road and Ballysillan Road will remain open throughout the scheme to two-way traffic during the week, but will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Further work on connections will take place at weekends under a temporary traffic light system to minimise disruption. It is anticipated that the entire scheme will be completed by September 2013.
Davy McGrath NI Water Project Manager said: "NI Water appreciates that this pipeline scheme will impact on many residents and we will take all steps possible to ensure that any necessary disruption to the public is kept to an absolute minimum. The majority of the work on the Ballysillan Road has been programmed over the school summer holiday period in an attempt to minimise traffic disruption."
