Major Resurfacing Scheme To Begin In Moyle

Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy announced the start of a £160,000 major resurfacing scheme on C99 Toberdoney and C99 Carnbore Road, Liscolman, in the Moyle area in early March.

The work is due to begin on 4 March 2013, from Coleman Avenue on Toberdoney Road to Straidbilly Primary School on Carnbore Road, involving approximately 1.3km of roadway.

The Minister said: "This scheme will greatly improve the strength and surface quality of the carriageway approaching and through Liscolman village. The scheme is expected to be substantially completed on Tuesday 19 March 2013."

To help minimise any inconvenience to the travelling public and local businesses the majority of this work is programmed to be completed using lane closures.

A full closure of the Toberdoney and Carnbore Roads will be in place on Thursday 14 and Friday 15 March and also on Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 March to facilitate the surfacing works.

During the closures a signed traffic diversion via Moyarget Road, Castlecatt Road, Cozies Road for north bound traffic and Islandranny Road and Moycraig Road for south bound vehicles will be in operation for through traffic.
