The Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton TD and Minister for Finance, Michael Noonan TD announced that Vistakon Ireland plans to invest over €100 million in the expansion of its manufacturing operations and create 100 new highly skilled jobs at its site in the National Technology Park, Plassey, Limerick.

"I complement the IDA in facilitating the delivery of these new jobs and other recent job announcements," Mr Enright said. "There is a growing interest by companies who are looking carefully at Limerick as a place to locate to and it is hoped that further announcements will be made in the coming months.
"I also welcome the fact that recruitment for these new third level positions with Vistakon, one of the major employers in Limerick over the last twenty years will start shortly and be completed by mid-year. The delivery of new jobs to Limerick City and County is hugely important to the local economy and the implementation of plans to revitalise the City Centre so today is very welcome news."
