Seán Kenny, the Dublin Bay North Labour Party T.D., has called on bankrupt developer Tom McFeely to disclose all of his assets, and to face up to his commitments to the residents of Priory Hall.
He said: "Last Saturday, I joined with a large number of local residents to march with the residents of Priory Hall through Donaghmede to the outside of Priory Hall, a year after the residents were forced to leave their homes because of the shortcomings with Priory Hall that Tom McFeely built. I am now hearing that Tom McFeely described the march as a joke, when he gave an interview to the Evening Herald.
"What is happening to the residents of Prioy Hall is anything but a joke. The reality is that Tom McFeely himself is a joke - and a very sick joke at that. I understand that a court hearing was told yesterday that Tom McFeely was a week late in filing a statement of his affairs, in which he had not disclosed certain assets including assets in the Isle of Man, and as such, was in breach of the court orders and should be jailed.
"Tom McFeely needs to stop avoiding his responsibilities, and needs to make a full and honest statement immediately to the court. It is high time he faces up to the awful predicament that he caused for the residents of Priory Hall. It seems to me that he may well have means at his disposal despite his bankruptcy. It is time that he used them to assist in resolving the difficulties that he has created for the residents of Priory Hall, which has gone on for far too long."
