Simple Power Supports Energy Awards 2012

Simple Power, a wind energy company that is pioneering the medium scale wind energy sector in the UK, is supporting RenewableUK's Energy Awards 2012, taking place in London on Wednesday 27th June 2012.

The Energy Awards recognise, celebrate and reward achievement and excellence in the wind and marine energy sectors.

In recognition of the importance of political support in driving the growth of the renewable energy industry, Simple Power has sponsored the award for Politician of the Year.

The company's Chief Executive Paul Carson will be awarding the Politician of the Year Award to a UK politician that has made an outstanding contribution to the promotion of renewable energy over the last twelve months.

Mr Carson commented: "The main purpose is to recognise those driving forward the promotion of renewable energy industry through their leadership on the issue. The prestigious shortlist includes, Rt Hon Nick Clegg MP, Peter Aldous MP, Rt Hon Edward Davey MP, Laura Sandys MP and Dr Alan Whitehead MP and we believe all are very worthy potential recipients of this important award."

Simple Power joins over 500 professionals from the renewable energy sector who will gather at the InterContinental Park Lane Hotel for the announcement of the Energy Award winners.
