Millfield Town Centre in Balbriggan, Co Dublin, is one of four developments short listed for the best architectural project in 2011 at the forthcoming CVBG Building Design Awards.
AD Wejechet Partners who have been in business in Ireland since 1964 and have worked on other retail schemes including Blanchardstown Town Centre and the Gaiety Centre in South King Street designed the new centre in Balbriggan.

The Practice is led by Joint Managing Directors Paddy Fletcher and David Lanigan, along with Chairperson Danuta Kornaus Wejchert. The practice is member of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland.
Millfield is a bright and airy new shopping centre which is anchored by one of the largest Tesco stores in Ireland, and also features over 30 other retail units, plus a foodcourt with four restaurants.
The other architectural projects in the running for the award are Cherry Orchard Community Childcare (BCDH Architects); the new engineering building at National University of Ireland, Galway (RMJM/Taylor Architects) and Wexford County Council HQ (Robin Lee Architecture).
