Kildare Housing Development Gets Go Ahead

A housing development, of 64 houses in Kildare, has been given the green light.

The development will go ahead despite a third party appeal that was submitted against the plans by Springwood Estates Ltd for the construction of the housing development.

Springwood Estates Ltd will be dealing privately with the construction works involved in the development. This will include the construction of 64 houses and a crèche at Newtown Hall, Newtown Townland, Maynooth, Co. Kildare.

The residential housing development will have 34 two-storey three-bedroom townhouses and 30 four-bedroom townhouses and semi-detached houses.

In addition a detached crèche measuring 273.5sm will also be on the site. Changes to two apartments will form part of the crèche. Work to convert these apartments will include minor internal alterations; minor alterations to elevations including independent access and outdoors play area.

The development will also see minor amendments to estate roads, vehicular turning heads and car parking.

According to Propetynews.com the houses, once completed will cost in the region of €310k to €525k.

The homes will have gas heating, PVC Fascia,fitted wardrobes in the bedrooms and the gardens will be levelled and seeded.

The builders describe the development as "a series of quiet enclaves and cul-de-sacs" which will provide safety and security "while large areas of carefully landscaped grounds will enable residents to enjoy this wonderful parkland environment."
