Online Auctions Opening Up Equipment Market

Auction portal www.mrmachinery.com is continuing to tap into the rapidly-expanding international market for high-quality used plant, vehicles and heavy equipment.

The online auction expert has seen a rapid rise in both buyers and sellers from a diverse range of countries. As well as its existing presence in the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and Belgium, Mr Machinery has also recently appointed a Territory Manager in Finland to cater for a growing Scandinavian market, and is finalising plans for a similar expansion into Dubai.

High-quality items recently up for sale during its fortnightly reserved auctions have been sourced from as far afield as Greece, Finland and Portugal, with online bidders coming from countries including Nigeria, Japan, Australia and the United States.

Mark Bacon, Managing Director for Mr Machinery, commented: "Our recent appointment of a new Territory Manager in Finland, and plans for a similar appointment to work across the Gulf States, is testament to the increasing internationalisation of the used plant and equipment market. Not only are we now sourcing a number of high-quality items from various countries – not just the UK and Ireland – but we are also seeing an extremely diverse range of online bidders. For example, we've seen a huge 300% increase in the number of West African-based registered users on www.mrmachinery.com in the past year."

Mr Machinery is a dedicated online auction portal offering a unique platform for the sale and purchase of used plant machinery. Founded in 2007, the organisation has a global audience across more than 170 countries worldwide and currently attracts an average of 25,000 unique users to its site every year. With extensive experience within the heavy equipment and logistics industries, the team provides both buyers and sellers a professional, personal and reliable service.

For all enquiries please contact either Keith Richards in the UK office on +00 44 7808 144012, 01743 469601, or via email at kr@mrmachinery.com or Gary Loughran, Territory Manager for Ireland, on +00 353 87 668 2408, via email at gl@mrmachinery.com or Skype: mrmachineryireland.
