Leading Irish company Greaney Concrete Products are bucking the current economic trend and have opened a new depot in Manor West Retail Park, Tralee.
The new depot will stock a range of products servicing the home-build and agricultural sectors including Lintels, Sills, Paving Slabs, Kerbs, Fence Posts and Wall Caps all of which are produced in the Greaney Concrete Factory in Shanagolden, Co. Limerick.
Speaking about the expansion of the business, Owner Sean Greaney said: "We're delighted to expand the business and set up the depot in Tralee and we’re in a very privileged position to be expanding at a time when it is becoming increasingly difficult to trade. The feedback we have received from our customers is that they are looking for high quality products at wholesale prices.
"It's fair to say that while the market is certainly in a downturn at the moment and price is a huge issue for many people, quality is still the most important factor for our customers and stockists."
Greaney Concrete Products Ltd is a family-run company manufacturing high quality precast concrete products since 1976 using manufacturing processes including Pre-Stressing, Dry Casting, Wet Casting and Hydraulic Pressing.
Greaney's have been one of the leading manufacturers of concrete products for many years and this can be attributed to a firm commitment to investment in up-to-the-minute technology and consistent staff training. Using state-of-the-art technology, such as the Prinzing Tornado machine, allowing for the production of high-quality gullies and manhole rings and the Prinzing Zelus which produces Self Compacting Concrete (SCC), the company has remained progressive and positive.
The Prinzing Zelus is the first machine of its kind to produce SCC concrete and has contributed significantly to the output of all pre-cast concrete products without compromising on quality. SCC products are known to have a significantly better finish, durability and strength than their traditional predecessors.
