Trinity College Dublin has appointed Healy Kelly Turner & Townsend as Project Manager and Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) for the delivery the €50m South East Corner Development.
When complete the development will provide more than 15,000m² of accommodation including an iconic building that will host the School of Engineering and the School of Natural Sciences. The facility will house state-of-the-art laboratories, research centres and teaching facilities that have been designed to support rapidly evolving research programmes and that will provide an environment for experimental learning opportunities.
The development will be designed with elements and features to support experimental learning opportunities including sustainable construction, building services and sustainable energy sources.
Construction will be phased and will take place within close proximity to existing buildings. The first phase is due to complete in 2014 and last phase is scheduled for completion in 2017. The campus will remain operational throughout the duration of the project.
Procurement of a full design team is currently ongoing.
