It's 'waste not, want not' as two leading recycling companies have joined forces in a deal they claim will ease pressure on Ireland's landfill sites - and potentially save companies £10,000 a year in waste charges.

Tyrone-based Envirogreen Recycling claims its new partnership with Dublin-based Ancove who will offer balers to Evergreen's commercial customers will drastically cut waste costs for businesses and increase the overall range and volume of items recycled in Ireland.

Award-winning Envirogreen Recycling buys baled waste including cardboard, plastic film and bottles at top prices, helping businesses with their carbon footprint and earning them money.

In the space of just over a year the fledgling company which now employs 20 people from its Coalisland HQ, has grown its commercial client base to more than 700 companies in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.


Its client base includes Batchelors, Quinn Packaging, Super Valu and Wright Bus.

Conor Guy Managing Director of Envirogreen Recycling Ltd said: "There are still large volumes of paper, cardboard and other plastic recyclables ending up in skips and bins which are destined for landfill.

"Ancove is the largest supplier of balers and compactors in Ireland. This partnership with Ancove will make it easier for businesses to have their waste items recycled, thereby easing pressure on the island's under-pressure landfill sites and helping the environment.

"As a result of the new partnership Evergreen Recycling clients will now be able get a quality baler installed from Ancove backed up by ongoing customer and product support.

"Envirogreen Recycling will then reward the customer for their recycling efforts by buying their baled cardboard, paper, plastic, film and metal. It is a win, win for client companies as waste costs are reduced, the environment is being assisted and the customer gets paid to recycle," he said.

Ancove who are headquartered in Dublin and are a subsidiary of Orwak Environmental Services are also excited with the partnership. Ancove have 7000 active contracts with customers throughout Ireland.
