Construction Excellence in Northern Ireland (CEni) is to host its seventh workshop in the (overview) series in June.

The workshop will again be delivered by CEni's industry partners, Quigg Golden, and will be held at the University of Ulster (Jordanstown) on the 23rd and 24th of June.

The Overview Workshops run in conjunction with CEni's NEC Masterclass Programme.

The Office of Government Commerce (OGC) recommends the use of NEC 3 by public sector construction procurers on their construction projects.


NEC 3 will become the standard form of contract for public sector procurement in Northern Ireland. NEC 3 is a modern family of contracts that embraces the concept of partnership and encourages employers, designers, contractors and project managers to work together through both a powerful management tool and a legal framework to facilitate all aspects of the creation of construction projects.

The two-day workshop provides a detailed overview of NEC3 in practice and will be delivered by NEC-trained practitioners from Quigg Golden, with contributions from CEni and University of Ulster NEC professionals.
