About Tuath Housing
The Association has rapidly grown since letting its first homes in late 2006 and now has over 14,000 properties nationwide providing homes to over 37,000 tenants. Tuath is governed by a Board of Directors with a broad range of business skills and commitment to social outcomes required to run a growing AHB.
We employ more than 200 staff across four regional offices who are overseen by an experienced management team with skills in tenancy management, project management, financial management, human resources, legal and communications.
We are an award-winning housing provider and are members of the Irish Council for Social Housing, the Housing Alliance, and the Chartered Institute of Housing.
We strongly believe in the importance and value of working in partnership with our many stakeholders to deliver more homes to more people, creating communities across the country.
Tuath Community
Tuath Community is a hub where you can find out about all the latest news, events and initiatives that can help you on your journey in making your house a home. Whether you would like to take part in fun online or in-person activities, become a driver of change in your community by setting up a Residents Group, or register for the latest employment and training support programme, this page provides all the information you need.
Tenant Home
For most tenant’s rents are calculated as a percentage of income, i.e., differential rent.
If your income reduces or increases, please contact us to have your rent re assessed as soon as you have proof of the change.
Capital Assistant Scheme tenants are an exception from the above as they have a set rent and can claim supplement from the Council if applicable.
Cost Rental
Cost rental is a new form of long-term sustainable home rental which is supported by the Department of Housing, Local Government, and Heritage.
Cost rental is not-for-profit housing where the rent you pay covers the cost of the construction, management, and maintenance of your new home. Cost rental offers you a long-term, secure tenancy that is more affordable. We’ve managed to achieve rents that start at 25% below the average local area rent. Cost rental is a long-term rental option.
Property Development
Tuath’s organisational strength stems from our successful and sustainable partnerships with government, financial institutions, statutory bodies, local authorities and developers. These relationships allow us to deliver a broad range of housing types and tenures to meet local need.
Sustainability
Delivering Sustainable Homes for a Better Tomorrow
As one of the largest Approved Housing Bodies, Tuath recognises the importance of climate action and sustainability and is committed to embedding environmental, social and governance considerations into every aspect of our business. We endeavour to strike a balance between organisational growth and the provision of homes, whilst prioritising environmental stewardship and ensuring social well-being. The integration of our social and environmental goals allows us to create sustainable communities throughout our operations.
