Construction Skills
Upon completion of the course each participant should have a basic understanding of the risks and control measures associated with working in the construction industry and should apply the knowledge learned thereafter into their everyday site activities. A general understanding of the course will be acknowledged by the training provider when participants correctly answers 16 of 20 multiple choice questions. Certification will confirm a successful pass.
The training delivery should be of a practical and down to earth nature. The tutor should deliver the course content via the PowerPoint presentation, interaction with the attendees, workshops, questions and answer sessions.
Session 1 Fundamental Practicalities of Health and Safety
Essential Skills
We offer Essential Skills Level 1 and Level 2, this course will be for 20 sessions and each session will last for 2 hours. The price for Essential Skills is £115 which includes registration.
Abrasive Wheels Course Content - Handheld Machines
Our most popular is a half day course, this course is better suited to the more experienced abrasive wheel machine operators, especially those who operate hand held/portable machines, bench or predestal grinding machines.
The Confined Spaces Awareness Course will provide individuals who work in or around confined spaces with important information about the risks and hazards associated with confined spaces. Through this Course learners will gain comprehensive knowledge on best practices and procedures to prevent and avoid possible incidents, and what steps should be followed in responding to an actual confined space incident.
Our Manual Handling Training Course delivers 3 - 4 hours of classroom-based instruction to enable candidates to gain an understanding of the process of lifting and moving loads, be able to identify risks and determine the safest method of handling without injury, in line with approved code of practice, accepted lifting methods and regulations. This comprehensive course is suitable for anyone in an organisation who is required to handle, lift, push or move any load from office workers, construction workers to production line operators.

Children's Care, Learning & Development Level 3 is designed for Classroom Assistants, Playgroup Leaders and Nursery Assistants. It is also recommended for childminders.
The course comprises of a range of units including; Child Development 0-19 years, Health & Safety, Child Protection, Nutrition, Early Years Curriculum,
Speech & language and Various forms of Play.
Pastoral Care
Pastoral Care in CTS is the ethos through which our learners develop and learn to their optimum potential. We provide the opportunity for all learners to develop into responsible, self-aware, confident, and capable young people equipped to cope with the challenges of the 21st century.
CTS believes Pastoral Care must form the basis of, and permeate, all aspects of the curriculum. We have a dedicated member of staff who takes responsibility for monitoring attendance, punctuality and progress. She also offers individual support to each learner, providing guidance and celebrating success.

This course will provide candidates with a good understanding and knowledge of food safety. This is a six hour course and can be delivered over two nights or 1 full day.
