Dow Building Solutions offers insulation that enables construction of energy efficient buildings and supports Code for Sustainable Homes, BREEAM and Passivhaus design criteria.


STYROFOAM-A extruded polystyrene (blue XPS foam) and new XENERGY (steel grey XPS foam) have closed cell structures and smooth surface ‘skins’, resulting in excellent insulation performance, high compressive strength and water resistance for long term durability. Both materials are produced using CO2 as a blowing agent to create extruded polystyrene foams with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of less than five.

Products manufactured with STYROFOAM-A include FLOORMATE-A for below-slab insulation, ROOFMATE-A for inverted roof insulation and PERIMATE DI-A for insulation of below-ground/basement walls.


XENERGY SL is a new generation XPS for insulation of inverted flat roofs. XENERGY combines the proven features of STYROFOAM XPS - durability, reliability and strength – with better insulation performance thanks to the addition of infra-red blocking particles to scatter and reflect heat radiation within the foam board.

Dow Building Solutions also offers GREAT-STUFF polyurethane foam sealant, FROTH-PAK polyurethane foam spray systems and INSTA-STIK polyurethane adhesives.
