About Maybrey Reliance
Maybrey Reliance, as part of the Caro Group of Companies, offers a complete service from casting to finished products, specialising in all aspects of Ferrous and non-Ferrous Sand and Die castings.
In order to maintain our competitive edge in the global market place, an extensive programme of ongoing investment in building and plant across the manufacturing facilities within the Group, in Belvedere and Crayford, has been implemented and will continue into the foreseeable future.
About Us
The roots and heritage of RELIANCE FOUNDRY go back to the 1850's. The originating company George England Limited were heavy engineers based in New Cross, South London, producing railway locomotives, machine tools and heavy valve work from their own foundry, the Hatchman Iron Works.
Between the two Great Wars Reliance Foundry was formed and became a major supplier to George England until they both merged in the 1930's and were run as Reliance Foundry Limited and The General Engineering & Boiler Co.
Many years passed until, in 1986, the group was purchased by Hills Diecasting Limited.
This new group of companies was then run in Greenwich until being sold to F.W.Birkett of North Yorks.
However the name of Reliance Foundry was retained until being revived on the formation of CAROFLOW's new subsidiary in 1995 (See Caro Group Homepage).
Reliance Foundry has, over recent years, extended it's customer base to include exports to the United States, the Netherlands, as well as a whole host of UK companies from major commercial lawn mower manufacturers, street furniture producers, playground equipment companies all the way through to laboratory equipment manufacturers.
Maybrey Precision Castings Ltd was formed in 1927 and, since that date, developed an enviable reputation for the supply of high quality product into the aerospace and defence markets in the UK and overseas.
Now both companies have been joined to make best use of their combined skills and the new Company, Maybrey Reliance, manufactures out of two sites in Belvedere and Crayford, ideally placed to service, not only the South East of England, but country wide as well, with the Dartford Crossing only 3 miles away giving complete access to the M25 and all motorways off of it.
