We continue to offer our customers an extensive range of quality, value for money tools and machinery, supported by a premium service delivered by a team of friendly, efficient and knowledgeable staff.
Frank Clark Ltd. Is a long established family owned and run, tool and general hardware business. It was founded by Mr. Frank Clark Sr. in 1949 with the opening of his first shop on the Grand Parade, Cork City. A second Shop and warehouse was opened in 1979 at Sharman Crawford Street. Frank Clark Sr. died in 1987. His son Mr Gerard Clark took over the business.
One member of staff on the opening day, 18th June 1949 was Mr Con McGowan, who later became a director and is still involved in the business. Mr Con McGowan’s son Frank is now also a director of the company.
The company is now run by Gerard Clark’s son Frank Clark Junior. In 2006 Frank Clark Ltd. acquired Cork Power Tools Ltd. a power tool sales and repair business. Cork Power Tools was started in 1985 as the authorised repair centre for Black&Decker by Mr. George O’Sullivan. Frank Clark Ltd and Cork Power Tools Service Centre, relocated to a 23,000sq.ft premises, including 6.500sq.ft showroom in April 2007. The new premises also includes a 3,600sq.ft workshop.
