Frank Clark Ltd. Is a long established family owned and run, tool and general hardware business. It was founded by Mr. Frank Clark Sr. in 1949 with the opening of his first shop on the Grand Parade, Cork City. A second Shop and warehouse was opened in 1979 at Sharman Crawford Street. Frank Clark Sr. died in 1987. His son Mr Gerard Clark took over the business.
One member of staff on the opening day, 18th June 1949 was Mr Con McGowan, who later became a director and is still involved in the business. Mr Con McGowan’s son Frank is now also a director of the company.
The company is now run by Gerard Clark’s son Frank Clark Junior. In 2006 Frank Clark Ltd. acquired Cork Power Tools Ltd. a power tool sales and repair business. Cork Power Tools was started in 1985 as the authorised repair centre for Black&Decker by Mr. George O’Sullivan. Frank Clark Ltd and Cork Power Tools Service Centre, relocated to a 23,000sq.ft premises, including 6.500sq.ft showroom in April 2007. The new premises also includes 3,600sq.ft workshop.

I have recently purchased a table saw from frank Clarkes warehouse-I was attended to by excellent staff wh had no trouble in advising me -I had purchased a lot of gear in the past grand Parade etc and always was very happy doing so-Thank you all at frank clarkes Edward Geary Bishopstown Cork.

I have been dealing with Frank Clarks for over ten years. I always received a warm welcome from any member of staff any time i walked in the door. if i was buying gear or having it serviced or even just in for a look around the staff or Frank himself always made sure i was attended to. Even dealing with any of them on the phone is a pleasure equipment was always ready when they said it would be and they would hurry it through if you needed it sooner. I recommended several of my friends and they were very happy walking out after buying equipment from them. I will happily be buying from Frank Clarks for many years to come.
